HEY GUYS,
OKAY EIJI HAS SENT ME A MESSAGE THAT BRINGS UP THE IDEA OF A RE-VAMP FOR THE SITE AND A BOARD CLEAN-UP AS WE DO HAVE QUITE A LOT AS I'VE ADDED THEM OVER THE YEARS. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA TO ME AS EVERYONE SEEMS BUSY (OTHERWISE THEY'D BE ONLINE RIGHT?) INCLUDING ME AND FAYE.

THEREFORE I AM OFFICIALLY PUTTING THIS SITE ON HIATUS WHILE I HAVE SOME SURGERY DONE AND SORT OUT THE BACK-TO-COLLEGE STUFF THAT I'M SURE MOST OF US WILL BE WORKING ON AS WELL.

I WILL SEND A MESSAGE AROUND TO YOU ALL WHEN IT IS BACK ONLINE. I'M NOT SURE IF FAYE IS WILLING TO STAY ON AS A STAFF MEMBER OR NOT BUT EVEN IF SHE IS, SHE HAS HER OWN SITES TO DEAL WITH SO I'M GOING TO NEED STAFF WHEN THE SITE IS BACK ONLINE. LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE UP FOR THAT EITHER BY EMAIL OR VIA THE SITE I'M ABOUT TO MENTION...

Rules for Character Applications

1. All characters are to have a max of two powers. If your character has a power that is able to be used in vast circumstances: eg. Fire. Then you are only allowed one. But, you can have the power of fire and another if you express it's barriers clearly- for instance:

Power: Fire.
Fire: The ability to create a lasso of fire, like a whip, and slash it at enemies or for climbing etc. This is the only form her fire ability can take...

This would allow yo uto have another power of a similar usage. But this:

Power: Fire
Fire: The ability to create fire balls, whips, fires or any otehr form of flame with the mind. She can also control her power so that she can place her hand on something and have fire erupt out of it further down- like the floor (place a hand on the floor and flames erupt from the ground thirty feet away.)

This is a power that can be used extensively, and in many ways and would mean a restriction in only ONE power.

2. If possible, have both your powers (if you have two) related in some way... Like Strength and Speed. This would be linked because your legs would be strong from the Strength power and able to propell you better giving you the Speed power... It's not a necessity but it does allow it to be more memorable and for you to use them in sequence with each otehr which can be very interesting.

3. All characters are to be human. They look human, they were born human etc etc. Your power should be able to be hidden. When not using your powers you should be able to look exactly like a normal person.

4. Please try to make your character original. The more clever your power choice etc, the more interesting your character becomes because you can make up what that power is capable of doing etc.

5. If you wish your character to be based on, or a decendant of a character from Marianne Curley's books, I will allow it because despite the whole Crystall College thing it is a similar story- however you will have to make up your own story of how the school was built ages ago and your family had been attending it for some time etc etc.

6. Please make sure your character description is extremely LONG!!! This is a literate site.

7. Most importantly- do not be afraid of choosing or creating a strange character with strange powers. If I don't like something I will ask you to change it but in no way am I "telling you off" or "trying to be mean" I am simply trying to keep all characters on a similar theme. There will be a lot of me restricting things because I'm giving everyone a fairly free reign and this site gives many opportunities for new and exciting characters so please do not feel down-hearted or bullied if your character is denied...
